In Indian culture, the sacral lotus symbolizes the divine beauty and the spiritual purity. In Hindu literature and Indian poetry, the lotus is the standard of beauty. Lotus in Buddhism symbolizes spiritual revelation, wisdom and nirvana. It is dedicated to the Buddha, the “Pearl of the Lotus”, who emerged from it.
